Business Flights

Catering to business executives that travel frequently and require additional comfort and convenience, business flights have become much more affordable for the standard traveler in recent years.

Business class, also known as executive or platinum class depending on the airline, typically includes larger seats with significant legroom, personalized service from flight attendants, fine dining, in-flight entertainment and occasionally even personal services like manicures or a massage.

Business flights run more than double the cost of a coach/economy ticket, but upgrades with frequent flyer miles make flying business class a reality for even the most cost-conscious traveler.

If you are interested in upgrading from an economy ticket, speak with an airline representative when you check-in. Unless you are a frequent-flyer with available points, upgrades will cost anywhere from $50 to several hundred and they go quickly.

Still, upgrades from economy to business for a few hundred dollars are a bargain when compared to the original cost of a business class ticket. As the economy continues to struggle and corporations look for ways to cut operating costs, airlines continue to make business flights more and more affordable for all travelers to book a journey.
Keep in mind that many of the newer economy airlines that have been cropping up in recent years don’t even offer business class cabins, though some have started offering business-like features for a small fee that include priority boarding, free snacks and more personalized service once in-flight.

Business flights for national travel certainly offer improved flight conditions and extras, but international business flights are significantly more luxurious and comfortable. Considering the length of many overseas flights, business class can sell out quickly, so if you’re interested get to a service counter early.

Whether you travel for business or pleasure, consider business class for your next flight if you’d like a little extra comfort and attention.
